At Pivot Point Now, our vision is to advocate for radical change on a personal level. Where an individual is struggling with addiction or a past criminal history we believe the walls of the boxes put around us can be identified and kicked down allowing us to go places society believes we can not go. We believe that change is possible no matter how far down we have gone and that all persons regardless of past history can find direction and purpose in life leading to positive change and all the good things in life.

I am a recovered addict and criminal offender. I believe in change and can show others how to change

I started working in substance abuse treatment in 1995 specializing in work with offenders in the criminal justice system. I worked under a state certification in substance abuse the CADC. In 2009 I returned to school and first completed my Bachelor and then my Masters in Social Work. I obtained my license in social work in 2017 and obtained my clinical license (LCSW) in 2022. Over the years I have worked in private practice and for state agencies providing services. I have been trained and have specialized in substance abuse, mental health and trauma. I have worked primarily with offenders in the justice system and with veterans. I am a product of change agents who provided services to me in my early life. I am a recovered addict and ex-offender. I have been in recovery for the past 23 years and have 5 pardons from the State of Idaho. I am active in 12 step recovery and work with individuals as a layman in 12 step programs as well. This being said I understand the change process and what it takes to accomplish change. I am also a tough individual to bluff as I spent half my life bluffing and can not only spot it but can address it head on. My work is my passion and my passion is helping others change their lives and develop into prosocial contributing members of society. I have learned to identify the boxes we are placed in and to then kick down the walls of these boxes with discipline, demonstration and consistency. If you want to continue living the way you are living that is your business but if you want change i can show you how to find it.

At Pivot Point Now we seek to influence and motivate others towards change. We are not in the outcome business as that lies in the hands of the Creator of all. We are however in the action business demonstrating change as a real possibility for all who seek it. My last act of addiction was swallowing a 10 MM which miss fired on the side of an Idaho mountain. I cried out for help and it not only came but it has never stopped coming. 23 years I continue to shine a light into the darkness so that others may find the path to change and redemption.
